Joyze comes for a visit!!!!

It's AMAZING the fun things you can get around to doing when there is an extra pair of hands....I mean when FUN Aunt Joyze comes to visit!! We had SO MUCH FUN with Joyze when she came to visit! Lots of things I've been meaning to do we got to go do finally! We loved having her here.....despite what Bennett thought! LOL!!

Arial Tram ride: This was a fun cheap way to see the city. It's actually just a ride to a Hospital at the top of a mountain but it is a beautiful few minute ride and what a view!!
 WOW! Look at that!

The view up top...kind of freaky looking down!
So Brent was just finishing up the closet when Joyze got here so it was my turn to paint. Sorry Joyze! We are great Hosts aren't we? We spent half a day painting and Joyze and I got a little high and then later sick :( But the closet is done and in use!! LOVE IT! AND THANKS JOYZE!!
Sand in the CITY!! It was cool going downtown to see all the sand creations. The competitors had 6 hours to build these and then judges chose a winner.

there were activities and experiments for the kids!

Seaside! Monday we all took off to SeaSide!  We got to play in the sand, the water, go shopping, get icecream, play video games, drive bumper cars and go out to eat! What a fun day!
Joyze and I got to announce to Lynette and Jeff what Gender they are having. We put a bunch of balloons in a cardboard box and they opened it on the beach! A BOY...hence the blue balloon.
I love how much Bennett loves the water!! The beach is no different!

 Had a picnic....
 then went swimming!
HAD to have a girls night out!! Olive garden and shopping!! LOVE IT!!

COME AGAIN JOYZE!! ANYTIME!!!

Home improvements!

We LOVE our home and area! The only room I wasn't happy with when we moved was our bedroom. It was yellow and I just wasn't diggn it. Our closet was TINY, esp compared to our last one. So we have done some improvements! I am obsessed with horizontal stripes and distressed furniture so did BOTH in our master bedroom LOVING IT so far!! Brent, being the AMAZING handy man that he is, knocked out our closed wall and is getting close to finishing it! It is going to be so much bigger and I am SO EXCITED!!!

Yellow room
  New and IMPROVED ROOM!!!!!......so far

Brent working on the closet. This was a major reconstruction he is learnign and doing totally on his own!!! He even had to re position some trusses...don't tell any of your contractor friends!

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a great 4th of July! It started out with a community festival that our ward was in charge of the breakfast. We got there quite early since we were in charge of some food. Ate a great mean then P and M joined in on the bike parade around the nighborhood while Bennett and Brent and I watched! They had fun! We came home and ordered Pizza to eat with our friends/ neighbors and then prepared and went to a fun BBQ at the Adams. We brought a pinterest activity for the kids called the BLOB. The guys taped up plastic sheeting and filled it with water for the kids to play on without getting wet. Then it was time to head down for fireworks. We walked from our house to Porter's school and enjoyed being right under the fireworks! It wasn't even 105 degrees! It was AMAZING!!

Bennett thought the fireworks were pretty cool! He even fell asleep at the very end. They didn't even start till 10 here since that's when it gets dark. We all had a VERY LATE night!
This is Helena's little sis that is a month older than Bennett, Can't you see we're already best friends?!!
Mason and Dad enjoying the show

FUN times!

We continue to have fun here ALL! DAY! LOOONG!! And the days are especially long in the summer! Doesn't get dark till about 10 and the sun is up at 5 so we always have to convince our boys that even though its not dark they should be sleeping. With so many hours of the day to have fun, we try to make the best of it!

One of the boys BEST friend since we moved here is our neighbor Helena! She and boys boys play all day long! She is convinced she is marrying Porter (even though Porter says " I don't know! Maybe when I'm older!") Porter is always protecting her and standing up for her. If she gets hurt P is there to help her home and take care of her bike. Mason is kindof the little brother that is a pest. Kindof sad sometimes. This picture really depicts their relationship. Porter is the happy leader, Helena is fighting to be next to P and trying to stop Mason from from getting too close to her. HA! Too funny!
ANYWAY, we hooked the hose to the slide and made our own water slide! Then invited all the nighbors for our water slide and wet trampoline fun!
This isn't a great shot. I took it over the fence but this is the boys and H dropping flowers off to our nieghbor     that they picked themselves who is always spoiling them with treats
 Brothers :)
We are trying to do more of those pinterest activities and have done a lot so far! This one was better than we thought it would be! They spent probably an HOUR chipping out all the toys we froze in the bown of ice! TOO FUN!! Got all the nieghbors in on the fun too!
The library sponsers shows at a an outdoor theatre and this week we got to see Presto the Magician! He was totally geered to kids and was so much fun! We went with several friends and everybody LOVED HIM! It's nice to be outside in the summer and not be dying!
 Magic show!
 Sweet Bennett!

MY BOYS!!

These are my boys! They each different, unique and sweet in their own way! They love each other, are the best of friends! I love them and glad they are ours!
Who knows what they are doing together some times...beats me ha
Sometimes mom has to get ready...this is what they did before Bumbos were invented, don't worry he loves it in there ;)
Bennett preparing for mommy to have surgery. Practicing eating out of a bottle
I love this picture! I found the boys on the playset one day reading books together. Now that Porter can ready he was reading to Mason. So sweet!

Sometimes they lie (little Pinocchio) or stick darts on their baby brother's nose
We like to spend time one on one when we can. Porter and mommy went on a date. We went and got cupcakes and then hung out in the toy store. Fun!
They cheer each other on (Mason at Porter's jog-a-thon)
They work hard and play hard...and don't give up! Porter ran 8 laps! That's 2miles! GO PORTER!
Again, don't give up. Learning to ride a bike has been fun and challenging for Mason. A nighbor says "Mason's so good at falling down" He falls and scrapes his knees and elbows a LOT but always gets back on the bike and has fun!
They comfort eachother!! I can often find them comforting each other. Here Bennett was crying and Mason came in and started talking to him for the longest time and cheered him right up. Porter is also so good at this with Bennett and Mason. Mason got shots the other day and while I was trying to make him feel better by promising ice cream Porter distracted him with stickers, even giving Mason the cooler one and telling him how tough he is! How sweet is that
Comforting....even if it means getting his hair pulled out!
They are social! This is not a rare thing to find Mason sweet talking some girl...or 6. I have found him several times introducing himself to neighbors or people in the grocery store!  Porter has won the hearts of girls in the circle. They want to be his girlfriend and are even talking Marriage...EEEK! They are sweeties and treat girls so sweet. Porter really protects his ladies

Fun In Portland

We all went to the parade downtown and had fun! Yes it was June and Yes we are all wearing jackets! Talk about different than AZ! We had fun together (this happened to be the day after my kidney stone removal surgery, but I couldn't be a party pooper. I over did it but it was worth it)
Dad was keeping Bennett nice and warm!

We got to ride the train! So cool (Yes an older lady is watching us, happens all the time here! Takes me 3times as long to go to the grocery store, not because of my kids but because I HAVE kids. Everyone wants to tell me how cute they are! LOL!)

Thanks to Jeff and Lynette we can go swimming in a indoor pool whenever we want!! It's becoming our Saturday tradition lately to have homemade pizza and go swimming. Even Bennett LOVED it!!
 COOLEST. DADDY. EVEEEERRRR!!
