BIG BOY!

Mason is getting so big and grown up. Out of the blue the other day he signed "all done" when he was done with dinner. I was ecstatic! He has been quite stubborn when it comes to talking or signing. It was adorable. Also he picks up a lot more than I think he does (as do all children!). When Porter is upset and needs to just relax we send him or take him to his happy place (aka bedroom) till he is calm and shows us his smiley face (pointer fingers on cheeks and a big smile). Well a couple of days ago Porter needed to go to his room and wasn't too happy about it so I went and helped him go in there while he was screaming. Once I had closed the door and turned around I saw Mason right behind me with his pointer fingers on his cheeks showing me his smiley face. He knew exactly what Porter needed to do to get out of there. Today I tried the happy place with Mason and it took a little time but he eventually showed me his happy face and got to leave the room with mommy and much happier than when he had gone in...thank goodness. Porter was really cute trying to get him out of going back in his room again and again telling me, "wait mommy, he's happy...he has happy face" while trying to get Mason to do it.

Last night it was just me and Porter and Mason for bedtime. Unfortunately, daddy was sick, but it gave us some fun time together. They were big boys and cleaned up their room (as they do every night before going to bed), yes Mason helped clean up and then mess up and then clean up, usually Legos, but he CAN be a good helper! They also got to use mommy as a jungle jim and wrestle. Mason's getting big enough they can play and wrestle together without him totally hating it. They rolled around and played really well together and when M had had enough I butt in to keep everyone happy. Brent and I are always so excited to see them playing together, we really hope they become the best of friends! For now they are my BIG little boys......
