Around the house

We've had a lot of fun going on trips and keeping busy while daddy has been gone (otherwise mom would go insane)! Some of our fun has just been around the house. There is so much to be done and fun to be had if we just look around.

One day Porter really took on the role of being "man of the house" He was found things that were broken and took it upon himself to fix them, with a little bit of mom's help. From what I know about his daddy's childhood (and adulthood for that matter) he is really following in his father's footsteps. Way to figure things out Porter!

Mason Found ways to entertain himself too. He is my little clown. He loves to make people laugh by being silly or making funny faces.

Our garden has been really busy too! Here is the first thing we've made using things from our garden. It was a delicious caesar salad using our home grown lettuce! Yum!

We all wrote letters to daddy. It took most of the day but I was really proud of the hard work these boys put into it. Mason did a great job tracing the words I wrote down for him and then drew a picture on the other side. Porter told me what he wanted to write and then copied it to paper all by himself. (Dad said it took him a while but he was able to read the 2 page letter)

Someone had to fill daddy's shoes while he was away. I was cleaning or cooking in the kitchen and Mason comes in with one of daddy's shoes and using his shoelaces to pick up the shoe while walking. Later they realized they could stick both feet into one shoe and hop around giggling. What fun!
